1/28/12- Father and Son Redfish Mayhem

Posted by Captain Bill Willis on Feb-2-2012

Today i guided Steve Hammer and son Jason for some Trout and Redfish action. The father and son team came down from Illinois and were looking to spend a memorable day on the water bagging some of our saltwater critters. We started the morning off by putting a few Trout in the fish box and quickly moved on to some drag pulling Redfish mayhem. Jason was the first to feel the pull of the Bull Redfish. On artficial baits and light tackle the rod is bent in half and the line is pulled off the reel like its tied to a truck. After Jason landed several big Reds it was dad’s turn in the ring. After Steve had submitted his big ol’Redfish we decided to put some more Trout on ice for the fish fry. It was a great day on the water and i was glad to be a part of the Hammer’s vacation.
