2/2/12- Navy Lodge

Posted by Captain Bill Willis on Feb-2-2012

Today i was able to guide Lou Verde for some Trout and Redfish action. Lou served in the United States Navy and is now the General Manager of the Navy Lodge located on NAS Pensacola. We started the morning off putting a few Trout on ice and like the previous trip we moved right on to the drag peelin’ Redfish action. We had some Redfish that were so close to legal but just a little to big. Lou also managed to wrestle a big burly Red that was close to 30″. After having several good pictures of his first Redfish trip we were back on the Trout looking to make some fried vittles. With a box load of Trout we called it a day and headed for the ramp. With the fog as thick as it could be it was nice having the Garmin plotter this morning to navigate our course. All fish were caught on artificial baits and light tackle. Lou thank you for your service to our country and i look forward to fishing with you again in the future.
