3/14/12- Mississippi Man tackles the Bull Redfish

Posted by Captain Bill Willis on Mar-20-2012

Today i was able to guide Mike and Jimmy Hughes from Hernando, Mississippi. The morning started off slow with us having to search around a little bit to find the local Trout school but when we found them Mike and Jimmy did their part.  We were pleasantly suprised withthe occasional Redfish tug and Mike again made the most of the oppoptunity when it presented itself. With drag smoking and line burning off the light action reel it was a pretty sight to watch as the Redfish shown here in the pic with Mike surrendered to the net. The guys were great and i had a blast watching them catch fish and listening to their stories of times past. As with all the over sized Redfish that have been caught at Lost Bay this year this beauty was released to fight another day. I am always glad to see when the customers have as much concern for the fishs well being as i do and are active in helping get the fish released as soon as possible. More trips scheduled so stay tuned for more Captains Journal entries.
