3/26/12- Military Appreciation Day

Posted by Captain Bill Willis on Mar-30-2012

Today was like a lot of days a Lost Bay Guide Service we offered a deep discounted rate to retired or active duty service men and women. This particular trip was code named : Operation Inshore Smackdown. The members of the elite force that made up todays fishing team was John Ross Retired United States Air Force and his son Tim Torma. We started off in the backbay fishing around a bit with little success to speak of as the conditions began to deteriorate. With the wind blowing right in on top of our spot mudding the water to the point of no return we made the decision to load up the Tarpon Bay 21 and head for clean, protected water. Was that ever the right decision….. within a few cast it was fish on!! Both gentleman did a great job angling their Trout and Redfish from around the docks and i was happy to see Joh n land a really nice upper slot Redfish. The gentleman had a mess of fish for supper after the two spot hop and we called it a night. Tim works for the EPA and it was my pleasure to get to watch him land some of our bac bay and bayou critters. John thank you for your servive to our country and i look forward to fishing with you guys again in the future.
