7/20/2012- Tis the Season for Topwater !

Posted by Captain Bill Willis on Jul-20-2012

With trips every day it’s been a struggle to keep up with Journals and Facebook articles for each individual trip. Here is a recent update on our shallow water adventures. Early morning Topwater action continues to be incredible with massive strikes coming from large Trout, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Many anglers have seen the Spanish Mackerel take almost all of the line off the reel. Water temps. in the low 80’s have made early morning, later afternoon and night trips produce good numbers and quality fish.

Before giving the current deep water report I would like to recognize Captain Rick Durant for his outstanding performance during this years Red Snapper season. Family’s from all over were treated to some of the best Snapper fishing on the Gulf Coast thanks to Captain Rick’s local knowledge.  Since the closing of Snapper season deep water structures in our bay’s have been producing Flounder, Grouper, Redfish and Spanish Mackerel. Pictures of recent trips will be posted soon. Thank you to all of our clients for allowing Lost Bay Guide Service to be a part of your vacation!

Lost Bay Fishing thought it would be fun to compile a map of the hometowns of past clients, below is the location of the client(s) that were a part of this specific trip. To see the map with all the past clients' hometowns click here ››
