Todays trip was with Glenn Greene and family from Tennessee. With the Spanish Mackerel still feeding heavily on the bait that’s being washed out with the tide we decided to make this our first species to conquer. With plenty of Spanish in the ice box our next trick was fishing deep structure for Flounder. After catching all the endangered Red Snapper we wanted to mess with and having a few Flounder in the box we went in search of Redfish or more Spanish Mackerel. It wasnt long and we had stumbled right in the middle of a large school of Bull Redfish. Shortly after landing five nice drag peelers and having a nice box of fish along with some great pics of the fellas with their massive Redfish we called it a day leaving the school of Redfish still feeding. Another great day on the water with a great family. All Redfish and Spanish Mackerel were caught on light tackle and artificial baits. Water temp was 69 degrees. Quote of the day was from Glenn’s son Brandon just before we started “I suck at fishing”. After he landed the Spanish, Snapper, Flounder and Bull Redfish we all agreed his fishing skills definetly need some work!!!
