Tonights Flounder gigging trip was with Clyde Parish and son DJ from Brandon Mississippi. These two gentleman booked a six hour fishing trip this morning and a six hour Flounder trip tonight!! When we met for tonights trip both gentleman were wide awake and ready to go. After a little instruction we turned on the lights and didn’t go far before Blue Crabs were being swooped with the extra long net and brought to the cooler. Once we got over the sand it wasn’t long before the first Flounder was gigged. Both fellas now were on full alert and it wasn’t 30ft before DJ spotted the second Flounder. Over the course of the night they did a great spotting 18 Flounder and oodles of crabs. This was the first Flounder trip of the season and it was good to be back out there critter looking. During the charter we also got to see Horseshoe crab, Shrimp, Eels, Mullet, Dolphin, Redfish, Ladyfish, Blue crabs Stone crabs, Hermit crabs, Needle fish and loads of bait fish. DJ had an incredible eye for spotting the Flounder and both guys were a blast to spend the evening with on the water. With twelve hours of fishing in 24hrs these guys win the “Sportsmans Award”.
